Biography

Thierry Gustot is hepatologist, Associate Professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Head of the Transplantation and Organ Retrieval Depratment at H.U.B. Hôpital Erasme, Brussels, Belgium. He is also a Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Experimental Gastroenterology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and at the Inserm Unité 1149, Centre de Recherche sur l’Inflammation, Paris, France. He is a clinician-researcher focused on the pathogenesis and the management of advanced liver diseases using both pre-clinical and translational studies. He published numerous original and review articles in high-impact Journals (NEJM, Nat Gen, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, Liver Transplantation). He is vice-chairman of the EASL-Chronic Liver Failure (CLIF) Consortium and chairman of the Inspiring & Writing Group at the EF-Clif. He is the principal investigator of the CHANCE study.He was co-editor of JHEP Reports and currently member of the editorial board of Journal of Hepatology.
