Simone Incicco is an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at the Department of Medicine (DIMED), University of Padova, Italy. He completed his medical degree at Sapienza University of Rome and his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Padova.
He works as a consultant hepatologist at the Unit of Internal Medicine and Hepatology, where he is involved in the care of patients with chronic liver diseases, with particular focus on decompensated cirrhosis, Acute on Chronic Liver Failure, Acute Liver Failure, and liver transplantation.
The main focus of his research activity are pathophysiology and treatment of decompensated cirrhosis and early diagnosis of chronic liver diseases. He is author of several peer-reviewed publications in leading hepatology journals and actively collaborates in international multicentre studies.
