Dr. Rosa Martín is a clinical and translational researcher in hepatology and Consultant Hepatologist at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital (Madrid). She is an affiliated researcher at CIBEREHD and Coordinator of the Chronic Diseases and Surgery Research Area at the Ramón y Cajal Institute for Health Research (IRYCIS). She earned her PhD in 2015 (University of Alcalá) and holds Master’s degrees in Hepatology (2015, Autonomous University of Madrid), Research Methodology and Biostatistics (2017, Autonomous University of Barcelona), and Organ Donation and Liver Transplantation (2023, University of Seville). Her research focuses on cirrhosis, alcohol- and metabolic-related liver disease, immune dysfunction, and liver transplantation, with over 60 publications in high-impact journals. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Mayo Clinic (USA), leading studies on the epigenetic regulation of hepatic fibrosis, and has contributed to national consensus guidelines on cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and liver transplantation.
