Upon completing module 2, student will be able to:

• Understand the multiple-hit etiopathophysiology of MASLD
• Understand the emerging concepts of ethiopathophysiological/phenotypical clusters in MASLD
• Understand the specifics of portal hypertension in MASLD
• Understand that treatments are anchored to the underlying pathophysiology and can target, intrahepatic mechanisms, metabolo-inflammatory drivers and mechanisms related to portal hypertension
• Understand that treatment strategies need to be adjusted to the current disease stage
